In the early Eighties, the floppy disk stored a maximum amount of information of 2 megabytes, a memory today not even enough to save a song in mp3 format. 
In 1982 we have the first Compact Disc Read-Only Memory, the CD-ROM, capable of storing up to 650 megabytes, a huge difference compared to the capacity of the floppy disk! Three years later, Sony and Philips released the "Yellow Book", a kind of handbook with technical specifications of the new invention that has revolutionized the world of computers and not only that!
